Dan Schmit (ITS At the University of Nebraska/School of Education) was the Keynote speaker for the C-FB iPod Users Conference held November 3, 2006.  
Part I is about the evolution of podcasting, demo of a group podcast and the impact podcasting is having on education.  
 
Dan is an author and instructional technology specialist with the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA. He has taught vocal and general music, worked as a staff developer and curriculum writer. He is a frequent presenter and clinician at state, regional and national instructional technology conferences and workshops. His work has focused on making learning experiences authentic and constructive through the use of technology.  
 
He has published two books, “GarageBand Mechanics” and “KidCast: Podcasting in the Classroom” as resources for teachers who are using music and sound to inspire creativity, research, expression and community. They are available online from FTC Publishing (www.ftcpublishing.com).
